Woven garments are created by interweaving two sets of threads at right angles to each other.

There are three essential weaves in frequent use for the bulk of fabric: twill weave, plain weave, and satin weave.

For all type of weave, special types of textiles can be created by varying the thread count and the thickness of weft or warp yarn.

Various types of Woven Fabrics

COTTON: A cool, comfortable, soft, the main clothing fiber all over the world. Cotton "breathes".

Lawn: A plain weave, very light, soft, combed cotton cloth with a crunchy finish.

Poplin: A plain weave fabric with a diagonally rib.

Polished Cotton: Either plain weave cotton or satin weave cotton that is completed chemically to appear shiny.

Georgette: A plain, sheer, lightweight, weave silk or synthetic fiber fabric with a well crepe surface; these are used to make approximately all women's wear.

Chiffon: A very sheer silk, lightweight or contrived thread fabric made in a plain weave these are delicately used to create ladies dresses, evening wear, and scarves.

Corduroy: A type of cut-pile textile with plain woven base, it is used to manufacture jackets, trousers, suits.

Duck: An extensive word for broad range of firm, strong, plain weave fabrics made of linen, cotton, or merge with synthetic fibers.

These are extensively used to create belting, trousers, canvas, sail cloth.

Satin: satin weaves woven are soft, shiny fabrics. Though, the extended drift fabrics have more uncovered yarn to grasp on uncouth objects so that these creations are not as sturdy as small float materials that are prepared with twill or plain weave.
